What Obama could do for technology

As we all know, conservatives have no real interest in progress. All that concerns them is what is supposedly written on some ancient text. Technology is always reflective of progress. And since conservatives have no interest in progress, they then have no interest in technology, unless they can make a profit out of it. With President elect Barack Obama, I feel this could all change. I am not saying he give out free Zune Accessories or anything like that, but he could shift more focus on technology that could benefit society as a whole and not on technology that only benefits the elite.
