Digital voice activated recorders are a fantastic piece of technological advancement. Just like any other piece of electronics, they can have a mind of their own from time to time. No need to worry. Always back up your recorded files to your computer. If you continue to do this, a simple malfunction will not effect your vault of files. Most recorders have a reformat feature. Usually they have two options. One of them completely overhauls the unit. Before reformatting your recorder, make sure your files are saved to your cpu. Reformat the unit and it will reset itself to the day you first used it. Your files will be erased but you will have a full functional top of the line piece of electronics.
