Credit Cards: The Good The Bad and the Ugly
I learned that credit cards can be your friend one day and turn very nasty, very fast. When I got my first card at the age of twenty, I had a good job and routinely charged up vacations, clothes, and furniture. My excellent salary allowed me to make the monthly payments. When I got laid off, I found out that dealing with bill collectors is a very bad feeling. Eventually my interest was raised and my situation went from bad to ugly. In time I negotiated a Debt Consolidation loan, which I have since paid off. These days I keep one card and stay on the good side of it by paying it off each month.
