Garage Organizing: Open the Doors and Spread Out!

It’s that time of year again when the weather is warm enough for us to open up our garage doors and tackle the task of getting organized!  When the weather is good, it’s much easier to spread out, haul out all that “stuff” and use the yard as a staging area of sorts.  It’s time to part with all those extra belongings that have stacked up in corners, on shelves and maybe even taken over the garage floor and get your garage organized!

Recruit some helpers from your family or very generous circle of friends and bring items out and place them with other items of the same type.  Tools with tools, yard equipment with yard equipment, holiday décor with holiday décor, you get the idea.  This will help you see how much you have and help you part with the excess.  Be sure to have a charity scheduled to come and pick up all those treasures you are done with!
