Tubal Ligation Procedure
Many women over the years have had the procedure known as tubal ligation performed so that they will not have to have any more babies. This procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis. The opposite of tubal ligation is tubal reversal. Tubal reversal is also known as geting your tubes untied. Many women opt to get their tubes untied because they feel they may have made a mistake in getting the tubal ligation procedure done. How is this surgery performed? The doctor will give you a local anesthetic and then will inflate your abdomen with carbon dioxide gas and make a small cut just below your belly button and insert a laparoscope. This tool will allow the surgeon to find your tubes.
